Brooklyn’s first full-service Cancer Center is nationally recognized for exceeding all quality standards and is also home to Brooklyn’s first Prostate Center. Our Prostate Center was the first on the East Coast to offer next-generation high-intensity focal ultrasound (HIFU) and is a recipient of the Healthgrades 2025 Prostate Surgery Excellence Award. Also part of the Cancer Center, our award-winning Breast Center is the only such accredited program in the borough. The Breast Center is home to a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence and offers advanced mammography and diagnostic technology, targeted therapies, and immunotherapy.
Our Heart and Vascular Institute is recognized as one of the country’s premier centers for cardiac care and was ranked among America’s 50 best hospitals for cardiac surgery by Healthgrades in 2022–2023. We’re ranked “High Performing” in heart attack, heart arrhythmia, and heart failure care and pacemaker implantation according to U.S. News & World Report, 2025–2026. We’re also in the top 1% of hospitals in the U.S. for heart failure survival.
Maimonides Medical Center is ranked among America’s 100 best hospitals for orthopedic surgery by Healthgrades in 2022–2025; our Bone and Joint Center offers state-of-the-art imaging and minimally invasive and robotic surgeries, and we’re home to Brooklyn’s only Comprehensive Spine Center.
We operate Brooklyn’s only Children’s Hospital and Pediatric Trauma Center, with deep expertise in neonatal care and a family-centered, compassionate approach across 30+ pediatric specialties. We also have the borough’s largest and busiest Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care Units (PICU and NICU).
Our Women’s Health services include a full range of obstetrics and gynecologic care, from family planning to genetic testing, and reproductive and fertility programs, with expertise in high-risk pregnancies and among the lowest C-section rates in the state.
The Maimonides Neurosciences Institute is among the elite few hospitals designated as a Comprehensive Stroke Center and offers cutting-edge techniques and new hope for patients with strokes or other neurological conditions. We’re also in the top 1% of hospitals in the U.S. for stroke survival.
Maimonides Midwood Community Hospital offers a range of adult medical and surgical specialties and a full-service emergency department.
