The Division of Hematology/Oncology at the Maimonides Cancer Center specializes in the medical treatment of cancer and blood diseases using chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, and targeted biological therapy. We adhere to the National Comprehensive Cancer Network’s latest treatment guidelines and offer state-of-the-art clinical research protocols.
We are the largest cancer treatment medical group in Brooklyn, with 10 board-certified hematologists/medical oncologists who specialize in a wide range of cancers, tumors, sarcomas, lymphomas, and leukemias. We also have a certified pain specialist, oncology certified nurse practitioners and treatment nurses, and social workers.
Our state-of-the-art infusion unit provides outpatient cancer treatment, blood transfusions, antibiotics, and other intravenous therapies. We also have a spacious, in-patient unit dedicated to oncology, with a full-time physician director, and a team of expert oncology nurses.
