Hospital amenities—dedicated to enhancing your experience
We know it is difficult for you or someone you love to stay in a hospital for an extended period of time. At Maimonides, we try to make you as comfortable as possible. We provide language assistance services, religious services, and healthy meal options—a few specialized amenities to ensure you receive the care you deserve.
Religious services and spiritual resources
We understand a hospital stay can be unexpected, anxious, or lonely. Because spiritual and emotional well-being is important to health and recovery, our team of trained pastoral care staff is available to support people of all faiths and religious traditions. We supply a variety of religious books, including the Christian Bible, Torah, and Koran, as well as multilingual support. We offer daily and holiday religious services in the hospital synagogue and inter-denominational chapel.

Food and menus
We offer a variety of therapeutic menus and will create meals for your specific dietary needs (e.g., low in sodium, low in protein). All food is prepared under the constant, strict supervision of the Maimonides Rabbi and 6 mashgichim, also known as kitchen and commissary supervisors, and in our own kitchen, according to the highest degree of reliable Kashruth. Each meal includes a choice of 3 hot entrées and 2 cold platters. We offer traditional Italian, Chinese, and Jewish meals, and provide menus in Chinese and Russian. A staff member can assist you with meal selection from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
