Brooklyn, NY, Feb. 19, 2025 — Maimonides Health now offers a new service to elevate the family-centered care provided to infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This collaboration with AngelEye Health will allow care teams and parents to utilize MilkTracker™, a leading feeding management solution designed to enhance the safety, accuracy, and efficiency of feeding processes in the NICU.
With MilkTracker, a product of AngelEye Health, Maimonides aims to improve outcomes for both staff and families by integrating technology that streamlines feeding processes, reduces errors, and fosters deeper family engagement. MilkTracker’s clinician app allows care teams to track and manage expressed milk and formula with precision, while the parent app offers unique ownership in the feeding process and provides access to lactation support tools to help mothers feel more confident.
“We’re excited to implement this new system, as it provides an invaluable tool for both our care teams and the families we serve,” said Alok Bhutada, MD, Director of Neonatology, Maimonides. “By streamlining the feeding process, offering lactation support tools and ensuring transparency, we can enhance family engagement, improve patient safety, and meet regulatory requirements efficiently.”
In addition to streamlining feeding management processes, MilkTracker supports regulatory compliance by electronically tracking critical data points related to human milk and formula use. This integration reduces the risk of human error to a near zero and also ensures accurate record-keeping allowing Maimonides to meet industry standards, ultimately contributing to a high level of care for NICU patients.
“At AngelEye, we believe that empowering families through technology is key to providing optimal care in the NICU,” said Christopher Rand, CEO of AngelEye Health. “MilkTracker not only improves clinical efficiency but also enhances the family’s role in their infant’s care by offering mothers lactation support, fostering better outcomes and stronger connections during this crucial time.”
MilkTracker has been widely adopted across leading hospital systems, gaining recognition for its impact on patient care and compliance with feeding management regulations. This partnership further reinforces Maimonides’ commitment to providing innovative and family-centered care in the NICU.
