Maimonides Senior Vice President of Ambulatory Services and Population Health honored for her work to improve access to care and health literacy

(Brooklyn, N.Y)—On Tuesday, March 25, City and State New York recognized Dr. Jenny Tsang-Quinn, Senior Vice President of Ambulatory Services and Population Health at Maimonides Health on the 2025 Above and Beyond: Womenawards list for her dedication to improving healthcare access and education across Brooklyn. With a background in primary care, she places patients at the heart of their care, fostering strong relationships between patients and healthcare providers to ensure the best outcomes.

Dr. Tsang-Quinn’s approach goes beyond traditional primary care. She manages a team including clinicians, patient care coordinators, and other professionals to track healthcare data, use population health best practices, and identify and address barriers to care. When her team discovered that many patients were missing important screenings, such as mammograms and blood pressure checks, they took action. By reaching out to patients, they learned that language barriers, low literacy, and busy schedules were often the reasons for missed appointments. Dr. Tsang-Quinn’s team then connected patients with providers who spoke their language, could accommodate varying literacy levels, and offered flexible hours—ensuring no one was left behind.

“I am honored to be recognized on City and State’s 2025 Above and Beyond: Women list,” said Dr. Jenny Tsang-Quinn, Senior Vice President of Ambulatory Services and Population Health at Maimonides Health. “Every day, my team goes the extra mile to remove healthcare barriers for Brooklyn residents so they can get the treatment they need to thrive.”

Dr. Tsang-Quinn is energized to improve Maimonides Health’s digital health tools, like the patient portal, to enhance communication between patients and providers. She also strengthens the skills of clinical staff by leading care team training and designing user-friendly digital record templates to make care more efficient across all specialties.

Dr. Tsang-Quinn’s commitment to patient-centered care and her innovative approach are transforming health care in Brooklyn, ensuring better, more accessible care for all.
