2nd Annual Lung Cancer Symposium
Lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States, responsible for nearly one in five cancer fatalities. Enhancing early detection and expanding access to innovative treatment options has never been more critical.
Maimonides Health and its Cancer Center are excited to provide a free, half-day symposium designed to educate and engage hospital-based and community providers to enhance their knowledge and clinical practice in the continuum of lung cancer care. From early detection to precision treatment, advancements in lung cancer care are enabling faster diagnosis and more effective therapies.
This hybrid (virtual and in person) symposium will showcase these innovations, emphasize the lifesaving role of screening, and feature expert presentations, panel discussion, and case-based learning.

Learning objectives
The main symposium objective is provider education regarding lung screening eligibility and departmental services available for warranted interventions, including surgery and targeted therapies.
We also aim to provide healthcare professionals with a comprehensive, multidisciplinary perspective on lung cancer care while demonstrating the value of collaboration, early detection, evidence-based treatment, and patient-centered decision-making.
