It adds 17 NICU beds to Maimonides Children’s Hospital, bringing the total to 48 beds. Each bed is outfitted with an Angel Eye camera, allowing families to see their child from anywhere in the world via an app. In recognition of excellence in the delivery of maternity and neonatal care, Maimonides is a New York State-designated Regional Perinatal Center (RPC), Level 4 NICU.

Maimonides Medical Center Designated as an EQIC Care Partner Hospital

Maimonides Medical Center has been designated a Care Partner Hospital by the Eastern U.S. Quality Improvement Collaborative (EQIC), an affiliate of Healthcare Association of New York State (HANYS). As a Care Partner Hospital, our staff help patients designate an appropriate person, such as a family member, friend, neighbor or paid assistant, to support the patient during and after their hospital stay and become part of the patient’s care team. Maimonides was 1 out of only 3 hospitals in New York State to gain this prestigious recognition.
