The peer-nominated honor recognizes Castle Connolly Top Doctors representing the top 2% of female physicians nationwide, for outstanding leadership, expertise and dedication in their fields.

Dr. Vishal Vashistha will lead Brooklyn's only comprehensive, full-service cancer center, home to New York’s top oncologists, with a fully accredited Breast Center, Breast Imaging Center of Excellence, and Prostate Center.

The grant will support community-engaged leadership training for clinicians and community members across Brooklyn safety-net hospitals to lead community-driven efforts that address health inequities and improve local health outcomes.
