Dr. Vishal Vashistha will lead Brooklyn's only comprehensive, full-service cancer center, home to New York’s top oncologists, with a fully accredited Breast Center, Breast Imaging Center of Excellence, and Prostate Center.

The grant will support community-engaged leadership training for clinicians and community members across Brooklyn safety-net hospitals to lead community-driven efforts that address health inequities and improve local health outcomes.

La Clínica at Maimonides Health is an outpatient mental health program specifically for Latino/Hispanic adults and children, addressing language and cultural barriers that often keep Spanish-speaking patients from getting the health care they need.
