And now we’re making it easier than ever to get the advanced imaging services you need at our new Outpatient Imaging Center, conveniently located within Maimonides Doctors Multispecialty Pavilion. This means you can have your imaging performed in the same location where you already visit your physician, improving the continuity of your care within our health system.

Diagnostic imaging services we provide

Diagnostic imaging services are requested by primary and subspecialty care providers to guide their decision making and treatment planning process. At the Outpatient Imaging Center, we provide the following services:

  • X-ray imaging: X-ray machines use a very low and safe dose of radiation to take images of the body.
  • Fluoroscopy: This imaging test, which may include taking a contrast agent either by mouth or injection, combines continuous X-ray images into a video of movement within the body to show organs and internal systems that might otherwise be harder to detect in a single X-ray image.
  • Ultrasound imaging: In our two dedicated ultrasound units, we use high-frequency sound waves to evaluate tissue and organs throughout the body in real-time.
  • CT scans: Also known as computed tomography or CAT scans, this imaging technology combines specialized X-rays and computers to produce detailed images of bones, organs, and soft tissue. We use a dual-source scanner to produce the highest-quality cardiac CT imaging available, and also use CT scanning for calcium scoring and lung screening.
  • MRI scans: Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) uses powerful magnets and radio waves to create clear images of organs, soft tissues, bone, and other internal structures without any radiation. Our two dedicated MRI units feature state-of-the-art machines that run advanced software that cuts scanning time by 50%. We also offer subspecialty imaging for cardiac and prostate MRI.
  • Mammography with tomosynthesis: Mammograms use X-rays to produce images of the breasts, and tomosynthesis creates a multilayered, 3D image of the breast to improve diagnostic accuracy.
