Warren J. Wexelman, MD, or as he is also known, "The Rockdoc", is a life-long Brooklynite who has been a practicing cardiologist in Brooklyn for over 30 years. At Maimonides Medical Center he served as Associate Chief Medical Officer, Director of Clinical Therapeutics, and Chair of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee for 23 years. He was also the Founding Director of the Cardiac Rehabilitation & Exercise Program. He ran the program for 16 years, and saw it become one of the nation's largest academic cardiac rehabilitation programs. Dr. Wexelman was the President of the American Heart Association in Brooklyn. He was also the Medical Director for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer NYC from 2002 to 2018. Dr. Wexelman has written and sold applications for the diagnosis of cardiological tests, as well software for the pharmaceutical industry, medical lecturers and speaker programs. Warren has extensive media experience with numerous appearances on CNN, Good Day NY, NBC and was a regular guest on the Fox series, Fox on Health. In February 2018, Dr. Wexelman teamed up with Bob Harper, the celebrity fitness guru who had suffered sudden cardiac death and a major heart attack while exercising the gym, for a national media tour.
