Dr. Pu is the Vice Chief of Vascular Surgery at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Pu a highly accomplished vascular surgeon with a robust academic and clinical background spanning both the United States and China. He earned his medical degree from Chongqing Medical University and pursued postdoctoral research in vascular biology at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Dr. Pu completed his general surgery residency at Maimonides Medical Center and advanced his expertise with a vascular surgery fellowship at Staten Island University Hospital. He is dual board-certified in vascular surgery and general surgery in the United States.
With extensive training and clinical experience in both open vascular and endovascular procedures, Dr. Pu is dedicated to providing comprehensive and patient-centered care. Fluent in English and Chinese, he brings a global perspective to his practice, which is enriched by his diverse training and professional experiences in China and the U.S.
Dr. Pu has been actively involved in vascular research, contributing to multiple peer-reviewed publications. His academic roles have included teaching positions in China, the University of Tennessee, and his current role at Maimonides Medical Center, where he mentors the next generation of surgeons.
