About Me

Dr. Norbert Moskovits is the Director of the Congestive Heart Failure Program at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Maimonides Medical Center, and trained in Cardiology at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City. In 1995 Dr. Moskovits joined the team at Maimonides Medical Center as the Associate Director of Clinical Cardiology as well as the Associate Director of the Coronary Care Unit. In 2003 he was appointed Director of the Heart Failure Program. Under his guidance, the Maimonides Heart Failure Program has grown to be one of the best in the country. It consistently achieves one of the lowest mortality rates, not just in New York State but nationwide. The program has been designated Best Congestive Heart Failure Program in the Northeast by Money Magazine. In 2012 he became the Medical Director of the newly established LVAD (Left Ventricular Assist Device) Program at Maimonides. It has been hugely successful and remains the only LVAD Program in Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island. He is board certified in Cardiovascular Diseases and in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology. Dr Moskovits has published many articles in several medical journals and has presented his research at national conferences. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and holds the academic position of Assistant Professor in Medicine at SUNY Downstate, Brooklyn. Dr. Moskovits has been consistently rated among the best doctors in New York by New York Magazine several years in a row.
