Dr. Pittman is a surgical pathologist with a focus on liver and gastrointestinal pathology. She completed her pathology training at Washington University in St. Louis and Johns Hopkins Medicine. Prior to joining Maimonides, Dr. Pittman spent four years as an Assistant Professor of Pathology at Weill Cornell Medicine. Her research interests focus on the medical (non-neoplastic) diseases of the liver, pancreas, and gastrointestinal tract. She is a gifted educator who lectures in pathology at the local, national, and international level. Clinically, she enjoys working with gastroenterologists, hepatologists, oncologists, and surgeons to care for the gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary health of patients.
