Dr. Joel Horovitz is the Senior Vice Chair and Director of the Division ofGeneral Surgery at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. He completed both his residency and fellowship at McGill University.Dr. Horowitz directs the Maimonides General Surgery team, representing the best insurgical excellence, and offers experience, expertise, and the utilization of the latest technology available to provide comprehensive treatment. Currently, he is Associate Professor of Clinical Surgery at SUNY Downstate. Dr. Horovitz is a member of the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma, The American Burn Association, the Association for Academic Surgery, The New York Academy of Medicine, as well as several other prominent organizations.
