Dr. Stein is originally from Detroit Michigan, where she grew up and attended the University of Michigan for undergraduate studies and Wayne State University Medical School. She then moved to NY where she completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and fellowship training in Maternal Fetal Medicine. Her clinical work is in the area of high risk obstetrics, with a particular interest in preconception counseling. Dr. Stein practiced at Beth Israel Medical Center in NYC for most of her professional life, where she served in many roles, including the Residency Program Director and the Vice Chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology, before joining Maimonides in 2017 as the Director of Obstetrics. An interest in medical ethics led to her completing a Master of Science degree in Medical Ethics, and she currently serves on the MMC Medical Ethics committee.
