Dr. Habib Hymie Chera is a highly skilled interventional cardiologist dedicated to providing exceptional care to his patients. He completed his medical education at Technion American Medical School, followed by residency training at SUNY Downstate/Kings County. Dr. Chera pursued further specialization in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology, including structural heart interventions at NYU Langone - Long Island. Currently, Dr. Chera is an attending physician at Maimonides Medical Center & Maimonides Midwood Community Hospital, where he utilizes his expertise to offer state-of-the-art cardiac care. Dr. Chera is board certified/board eligible in multiple disciplines including internal medicine, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, cardiac CT, vascular ultrasound, cardiology, and interventional cardiology. Known for his thoughtful and compassionate approach, Dr. Chera takes the time to thoroughly explain diagnoses and treatment options to both patients and their families.
