Dr. Mirochnik is a board-certified radiologist with subspecialty fellowship training in breast and body imaging. Dr. Mirochnik specializes in the interpretation of breast imaging studies including mammography, breast ultrasound, and breast MRI; he also performs image-guided breast interventional procedures such as breast biopsies and aspirations. Dr. Mirochnik's goal is to diagnose breast cancer at the earliest stage possible so that patients can have the best prognostic outcomes. He became interested in the field of breast imaging early in his career, after conducting a community research project and learning that breast cancer was very prevalent in his community. Dr. Mirochnik has published several articles in the field of radiology including on topics related to breast imaging such as Digital Breast Tomosynthesis (3D mammography) and has also presented at national radiology conferences. Having volunteered at Maimonides Medical Center while in high school, Dr. Mirochnik is happy to join the Department of Radiology and the Breast Center at Maimonides Medical Center as a breast imager and to provide excellent patient care to members of the community.
