Dr. Steven Friedman is a Director and surgeon in the Pediatric Urology Division at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. He has been practicing pediatric urology and reconstructive surgery in Brooklyn and Long Island since 1991. Dr. Friedman completed his residency at Beth Israel Medical Center and his fellowship at the Children's Hospital of Michigan. Dr. Steven Friedman has published extensively, with a focus on scrotal and testicular disorders, and presented papers in the annual meetings of the American Urological Association and American Academy of Pediatrics. He has lectured throughout the metropolitan area. He is a member of The American Urological Association, a Fellow of The American College of Surgeons and The American Academy of Pediatrics, and a member of The Society of Pediatric Urology. He serves on the Board of directors of The Brooklyn School for Special Children, The Block Institute, as well as on multiple hospital committees. Dr. Friedman has been listed in several issues of New York Magazine's "Best Doctors in New York" and in Castle Connolly's "How to Find the Best Doctors in the Metropolitan Area"
