Dr. Ricardo Baler, MD, is an attending physician in the department of Pediatrics at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Baler chose to become a pediatrician due to the influence of his father – a well-known physician in Buenos Aires, Argentina – after observing how extremely positive and rewarding his work was. Dr. Baler believes that is a great privilege to be able to help people and make a difference to peoples lives. His approach to patient care is simply the reflection of his personality. The word “care” is the key word in his philosophy when treating patients. Dr. Baler never wants his patients to feel like he is in a rush. Instead, he wants them to feel like he listens to them, and that he really cares about their needs and problems. Dr. Baler has always worked in the diagnosis and treatment of asthma and allergy in pediatric populations. Outside of work, he enjoys spending his free time with his wife and four boys.
