Julio Lopez is graduate of Adelphi University and a Licensed Master Social Worker with 8 years of clinical work experience within the Addiction, Criminal Justice and Mental Health field. He started his professional career working in an Outpatient Substance Use Disorder clinic, providing individual and group therapy and case management services. He closely worked with individuals with justice involvement and treatment mandates. Julio then worked with a Court based Alternative to Incarceration program with the mission of reducing recidivism by connecting individuals to health care services. He is currently the Director of the Wellness Recovery Program at CMHC which focuses on providing group and individual therapy to the SMI population of Brooklyn and neighboring boroughs.
