Dr. Amit Schwartz the chief of the Division of Neurosurgery at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. Previous to joining the Maimonides team, Dr. Schwartz completed his Neurosurgical Residency at New York’s Mount Sinai Medical Center, followed by a fellowship University of Miami in Florida. Dr. Amit Schwartz has performed research and has published various papers, abstracts, and book chapters, and has presented numerous times. He is a member of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons as well as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Schwartz has been the recipient of several honors, including the Alpha Omega Alpha Award and the Medical Attending’s award for Excellence in Clinical Medicine. He is listed as a Top Doctor by Castle Connolly and a Top Surgeon by Consumers’ Research Council of America.
