Dr. Yasutoshi Shiratori is a therapeutic endoscopist with international experience in gastroenterology treatments. He trained in Japan at St. Luke’s International Hospital and completed his therapeutic endoscopy fellowship in Canada at Sherbrooke University. His practice is focused primarily on gastrointestinal cancer treatments, third space endoscopy such as POEM, and hepatobiliary treatments. Dr. Shiratori is active in clinical research based on training at Johns Hopkins School of Public Health and has published outstanding articles. In addition, Dr. Shiratori serves as an award-winning reviewer for the most essential professional endoscopy journal – Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. This allows him to be at the forefront of scientific knowledge regarding gastrointestinal treatments. Dr. Shiratori holds memberships for the following organizations: American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE), New York Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (NYSGE), Fellow of Japan Gastroenterological Endoscopy Society (FJGES), Japanese Society of Gastroenterology (JSG), Japanese Gastroenterological Association (JGA), and Japanese Society of Internal Medicine (JSIM).
