Dr. Ronald Kaleya specializes in the treatment of pancreas, stomach and colorectal cancer, as well as gastrointestinal surgery. He recently joined the Maimonides surgical family to add depth to our expanded programs in pancreatic, gastric, colorectal and hepatobiliary oncologic surgery. This expanded program will include new surgical techniques with which to treat locally advanced and recurrent cancers, as well as those of the pancreas, stomach, liver and colon. Dr. Kaleya is board certified in General Surgery and completed a fellowship in Surgical Oncology. He comes from Montefiore Medical Center-Albert Einstein College of Medicine where he served as Professor of Clinical Surgery and Vice Chairman until 2008 and Westchester Medical Center-New York Medical College. He has been listed in Castle Connolly’s Top Doctors List every year since its inception. Dr. Kaleya has many peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and abstracts. He has participated in translation and bench research concerning extracellular matrix and tumor angiogenesis.
