Ravi Karan S. Patti, MD, is a board certified physician at Maimonides Medical Center who specializes in asthma and chronic obstructive lung disease. Born in the holy city of Amritsar, India, Dr. Patti obtained his medical degree from D.Y Patil Medical School, Maharashtra. He went on to complete his Internal Medicine residency and Pulmonary and Critical Care fellowship at Maimonides Medical Center. Here, he was named Fellow of the Year in the final year of his fellowship. During his training, he performed various critical care procedures including flexible bronchoscopies and central line and chest tube placements and has also been trained to perform endobronchial and transbronchial lung biopsies. Dr. Patti has written and reviewed several papers for various international journals and has given oral presentations at national conferences including the American Thoracic Society, the American College of Chest Physicians, and the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
