Dr. Bentsianov completed his medical school training at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. He continued his clinical training at SUNY Downstate Medical Center/Long Island College Hospital as an intern in General Surgery followed by a residency and chief residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. He then went on to do a fellowship in Laryngology and Neurolaryngology at Columbia University/St Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital, New York Center for Voice and Swallowing Disorders. After becoming a diplomate of the American Board of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, he rejoined the faculty of SUNY Downstate in June 2003 as assistant professor in the Department of Otolaryngology and Director of the Division of Laryngology, Voice and Swallowing Disorders. As an Otolaryngologist, Dr. Bentsianov treats a variety of ear, nose and throat conditions, including congestion, polyps, smell disorders, allergies, and sinus conditions. He also has extensive experience with disorders of the larynx, including hoarseness, swallowing disorders, chronic cough and chronic pharyngitis. Dr. Bentsianov, along with his colleagues, uses the latest office procedures to evaluate patients with otolaryngologic disorders. Some common in-office procedures include nasal endoscopy, laryngoscopy and videostroboscopy which allow for comfortable non-invasive evaluation of the internal nose, pharynx and larynx. His practice also offers in-office hearing and audiology services and VNG vestibular testing. Dr. Bentsianov has been a member of the Brooklyn community for the last 40 years and has been dedicated to delivering the highest quality laryngological clinical and surgical expertise to his home community for the last two decades.
