Dr. Alok Bhutada is the Director of Newborn Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Bhutada completed his residency at Beth Israel Medical Center and Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine, followed by a fellowship at Columbia University. He is board-certified in pediatrics, with a subspecialty in Neonatal Perinatal Medicine. Dr. Bhutada and the NICU team offer a number of services including: in-house coverage 24 hours-a-day, seven days-a-week by a board certified Neonatologist;Neonatologists are available for consult on an emergency basis;Expertise in wide range of services such as pulmonology, neurology, Pediatric surgery, Therapeutic Hypothermia, and Video EEG. Dr. Alok Bhutada has published various articles in neonatology. Dr. Bhutada’s interests include the current trends of non-invasive repertory care, the use of nitric oxide for preterm babies, and therapeutic hyperthermia advancements. As Director of the NICU, he is able to project his vision of clinical care and outcomes. He welcomes the opportunity to influence and educate young physicians, the potential neonatologists in training.
