Dr. Jonokuchi is a pediatric neurologist and Director of Pediatric Neuroimmunology at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, and serves as an Assistant Professor of Neurology at SUNY Downstate. He is board-certified in pediatric neurology and fellowship-trained in adult and pediatric neuroimmunology, with expertise in demyelinating and neuroinflammatory disorders. Dr. Jonokuchi completed his residency in pediatric neurology at Columbia University, after which he received the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Clinical Care Physician Fellowship Award. He subsequently completed his fellowship at the NYU Langone Multiple Sclerosis Comprehensive Care Center under the mentorship of Dr. Lauren Krupp, founding chair of the International Pediatric Multiple Sclerosis Study Group. His research focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of Myelin Oligodendrocyte Glycoprotein Antibody-Associated Disease (MOGAD) in children, as well as the role of exercise in improving symptoms and preventing disability associated with neurological disorders across the lifespan.
