About Me

Claudia De Araujo Duarte, MD, is a board-certified physician at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. She earned her medical degree from the Universidade Federal da Paraíba in Brazil before moving to the United States for postgraduate training. At Maimonides, she completed her residency in Internal Medicine followed by fellowship training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. She has extensive experience in the management of critically ill patients and a wide range of pulmonary conditions. She is also skilled in a variety of pulmonary procedures, including endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS), navigational bronchoscopy, and bronchoalveolar lavage. With a patient-centered approach, Dr. Duarte values clear communication, collaboration, and compassion in guiding patients and their families through challenging diagnoses and treatments.
