Dr. Michelle Fleyshman is a hematologist and medical oncologist who focuses on prostate cancer, genitourinary cancers, and gynecologic cancers. Originally from Philadelphia, Dr. Fleyshman attended Drexel University College of Medicine before relocating to Baltimore to complete her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Maryland Medical Center. During her training, she was drawn to the field of hematology and oncology due to the opportunity to build long-term relationships with patients and to be deeply involved in all aspects of their care. Dr. Fleyshman completed her fellowship in hematology and oncology at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. A guiding principle in her practice comes from June Goodfield’s quote: “Cancer begins and ends with people.” She honors this philosophy by closely listening to each patient’s story, helping them navigate the complexities of their diagnosis—from the medical challenges to the personal circumstances that shape their journey—and working collaboratively to create a personalized treatment plan. Dr. Fleyshman is excited to join the Maimonides team and looks forward to contributing to patient care, advancing education, and continuing to grow both personally and professionally.
