Shuk Ki Ku, NP, started her nursing profession 5 years ago at Maimonides Medical Center in the medical-surgical-oncology unit before she became a critical care nurse in the ICU. 5 years later, after obtaining her Master of Science from SUNY Downstate University, she worked in a hospital setting with stroke patients as a nurse practitioner for six years in Maimonides. After providing inpatient stroke services, Shuk Ki transitioned to an outpatient stroke clinic. She also participates in research studies related to improving the outcome of stroke patients.
