Lavanya Chekuru, MD, is an Adult Primary Care physician at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Chekuru grew up in West Texas and then moved to California to attend Stanford University for her undergraduate studies then returned to Texas to attend medical school. She then went on to complete her Internal Medicine residency at SUNY Downstate. Dr. Chekuru enjoys getting to know her patients and spending the time to get to the root causes of diseases, as well as treating and preventing symptoms and complications from chronic diseases.
