About Me

A board-certified orthopedic surgeon with advanced training in spine surgery from the Mayo Clinic, Dr. Bou Monsef treats all conditions of the neck and back. He has advanced skills in both minimally invasive and outpatient procedures as well as complex revision surgeries and deformity correction. He has particular interest in osteosarcopenia and the optimization of bone and muscle health, as well as complex degenerative and traumatic conditions of the spine.
Dr. Bou Monsef routinely publishes in top peer-reviewed journals and presents his findings at international academic meetings. He is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, AO Spine, J. Robert Gladden Orthopedic Society, and is involved in medical mission trips with Global Spine Outreach. His research interests include artificial intelligence, osteosarcopenia, spinal deformity, and health care disparities in spine.
