Dr. Salwa M. Gerges is a Board Certified Geriatrician and Internist. She has a special interest in Alzheimer's and Dementia. Dr. Gerges was elected as the best fellow and the best researcher of the Year 1999-2000, and was honored the research award by the Henry L. Schwartz, Department of Geriatrics and Adult Development, Mount Sinai School of Medicine of New York University. She has written a chapter in the book of the American College of Physicians about Geriatric Pharmacology, entitled "Vitamin B12 and Folate Deficiency." Furthermore, she published an article on "B12 Deficiency" under the section of "Evidence Based Medicine" in The News Letters monthly publication of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
