I was born and raised with my two younger sisters just outside of Wilmington, Delaware where I also attended elementary and high school. Partially due to my love of basketball I then went to Saint Joseph's University and studied history followed by Jefferson Medical College both in nearby Philadelphia. My mother is long time pediatric nurse specializing in cystic fibrosis and helped steer me towards a career in medicine through volunteer work at her hospital. I trained in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai Beth Israel followed by a chief resident year with three of my good friends. Following this I completed a hematology-oncology fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center and also worked in the affiliated Einstein lab of Dr. Kira Gritsman. My interests are varied within malignant and benign hematology and include multiple myeloma, myeloproliferative neoplasms and immunology.
