Maimonides Health is currently seeking a dedicated Social Worker to work in our OB/GYN department who will specialize in supporting patients dealing with pregnancy issues, pregnancy loss, infertility, gynecologic cancers, and pelvic floor problems. You help patients manage the complexities and emotional challenges.
Specifically, you will provide:
- Emotional Support and Counseling
- Patient Advocacy and Liaison
- Resource Navigation and Referral
- Education and Prevention, Provide workshops and support groups
- Collaboration with doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals to discuss patient care and progress.
- Crisis Intervention, especially in situations involving acute emotional distress.
- Documentation and Record Keeping
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) required.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent.
- Experience in women’s health, particularly in areas of pregnancy, infertility, and gynecologic health.
- Strong emotional intelligence and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate and knowledgeable individual who can provide comprehensive support to women facing complex health challenges, ensuring their emotional and social needs are met alongside their medical care.
