We are seeking a full time NP or PA Clinical Specialist to join our team at Brooklyn’s first Swallow Center at Maimonides Medical Center.
In this role, you will:

Assist in all the clinical needs of the Swallow Center including day to day operations and coordination of clinical research activities of the division
Manage phone lines for Swallow Center program (new appointments, follow-up appointments, etc.) and intake for all patients referred to the Swallow Center (including background on clinical issues and coordination with referring provider).
Coordinate with all professionals involved in patient care and clinical research, including the ENT, GI, and SLP team; This includes intake of new patients, monitoring of patients after initial visits, escalating to appropriate leadership, etc.
Ensure that clinical research protocols are addressed and completes reporting.
Respond to problems that arise on a daily basis; resolves where possible, referring problem or response to appropriate leadership as required; reviews and investigates all complaints received by the department with department members to ensure speedy resolution and reply.
Optimize the patient experience, meets with patients and families to coordinate care when necessary.
Participate in review of regular documentation compliance; maintains, and reports on data obtained.
Develop monthly reports outlining patient volume, patient experience scores, and other departmental metrics to track performance.
Coordinate monthly Swallow Center conference and prepare material and patient lists, including new patients for evaluation, follow-up treatment plans, and any other relevant information.
Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
We require:

Bachelors of Science required; Master’s Degree preferred
Current NYS licensure as NP or PA required
5 years’ clinical experience required; prior experience in ENT or GI preferred
1 year of leadership and/or management experience preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills; Bilingual preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Salary: $135k – $145k /yr
