Maimonides Medical Center currently has an excellent opportunity for a full time, highly motivated accounting professional to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment analyzing & compiling financial/statistical data for reporting.

Specifically, you will:
• Conduct account reconciliations in accordance with established schedules;
• Examine account balances for significant fluctuations and reports to
appropriate managers on their probable causes and implications.
• Prepare/record/review journal entries; ensures the accuracy of general
ledger entries
• Perform monthly account analyses, quantifying the results through system reports
• Provide information and assistance to the external auditors to facilitate
audit completion; compile and analyze data for year-end audit.
• Maintain workpapers in accordance with state/federal requirements.
• Review check request for completeness of information
• Prepare requisition/POs for vendors

We require:
• Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree in Business or Public Administration preferred.
• 3+ years accounting experience required; healthcare industry experience preferred.
• Computer proficiency (Excel)
• PeopleSoft and Public Accounting a plus.
• Good interpersonal, organizational and verbal/written English communication skills
