Welcome to the Emergency Medicine Residency
Emergency Care is a specialty that requires outstanding training and education. Our Emergency Medicine Residency is committed to educating the next generation of expert medical practitioners.
Our Emergency Medicine Residency is a 3-year training program that accepts 16 residents each year. Given the diversity of our patients, Maimonides residents receive first-hand experience in a broad range of pathologies. Our students benefit from the extensive critical care experience of the attending and nursing staff. The emergency department has a large support staff, including technicians, phlebotomists, EKG technicians, translators, clerks, transporters, and dedicated patient representatives who assist with every aspect of emergency care.
The ED department runs a pre-hospital care division, providing residents with continuous exposure and interaction with EMS staff
