Dr. Simone Betchen is a surgeon in the Surgery Department, Neurosurgery Division, at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Betchen joined the Maimonides team after completing her residency in neurosurgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center, and her surgical neuro-oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. She is dedicated to all aspects of neurosurgery, with a focus on tumors of the spinal cord and brain. Dr. Simone Betchen is active in research and has numerous publications in the field of neurosurgery. She is a member of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the Society for Neuroscience, and a resident member of the American College of Surgeons.
