About Me

Dr. Shaurya Sharma completed medical school, as well as a residency in ophthalmology in India. He immigrated to the US in 2017 for a residency in internal medicine at Maimonides Medical Center. Upon graduating from his residency training in 2020, he served as Chief Resident of the internal medicine residency program during the 2020-2021 training year, strengthening his interest in resident education. Dr. Sharma is currently an internal medicine hospitalist and teaching attending, responsible for supervising residents, medical students and overseeing the care of patients under his service. His interests include resident training, free open access medical education (FOAMed), humanism in medicine, narrative medicine and point of care ultrasound.
