About Me

Dr. Danny A. Sherwinter is a surgeon and the Director of Bariatric/Weight-Loss Surgery and the MIS Fellowship Program at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Sherwinter completed his residency at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, and his fellowship at North Shore University Hospital at Syosset. Dr. Danny A. Sherwinter has published extensively in his field, and has been interviewed by the New York Times for his expertise. Under his leadership, the Division of Bariatric/Weight-Loss Surgery at Maimonides received the Bariatric Center of Excellence honor from the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Sherwinter is a member of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons.
