Wound Ostomy Continence NP 

Full Time  Days  7a – 5p with alternate weekend coverage

Description

The Wound Care Ostomy Continence NP serves as a clinical resource and conducts health and physical assessment and treatment focused on wound, ostomy, continence care. Provides staff and patient education and counselling. Coordinated care with the health care team and makes referrals to other disciplines as indicated. Participates in Nursing Quality Committee and quality improvement initiatives related to WOC issues. Collaborates with leadership to develop, revise and evaluate standards based on current National Guidelines for best practices and delivery of care.

Requirements:

• Current NP license & registration in Acute Care / Family Health / Gerontology
• Minimum 2 – 4 yrs. of recent relevant nursing experience in an acute care setting
• Graduate from WOCN-accredited wound, ostomy and continence (WOC) nursing education program
• Board Certified as a Wound, Ostomy, Continence Specialist or eligible and in progress
• ACLS
• Flexible weekday work schedule
